Our requirement did not fit neatly inside a standard website package. SEO used to feel very vague to me. Somebody would say they had "done SEO" and I had no idea what that really meant. While working with Daljit Singh, I started understanding the more technical side of how a website communicates with search engines. Google Search Console, indexing, sitemaps and website structure were no longer just random technical words. My problem was not that I wanted to become an SEO expert myself. I simply wanted some visibility into whether Google could properly find and understand the website. Daljit ji helped make that side much clearer. I liked being able to look at actual Google information instead of receiving only a monthly message saying everything is going great. Khalsa Website Designers also explained technical issues in normal business language, which is important because most business owners don't want thirty screenshots without knowing what any of them mean. For me, this was the first SEO experience where the technical work started making practical sense. Our business communicates with different generations of Punjabi customers. Some are completely comfortable in English, while others understand information better when it is presented in Punjabi or Hindi. That created a genuine website problem for us. Daljit Singh understood it immediately because there was no cultural explanation required. He already understood why a Punjabi NRI business may need to communicate differently with younger customers, parents and older family members. Khalsa Website Designers helped organise the website in a way where multilingual content could be presented more naturally instead of simply dumping translated text onto pages. This was one of those projects where understanding the audience matters almost as much as understanding WordPress. Also, whenever I got tired of explaining technical things in English, Punjabi started automatically. "Veer ji, mainu simple daso eh ki karda." 😂 That comfort made working together much easier. If your customers speak more than one language, I would recommend thinking about their experience properly instead of assuming everybody wants English only. Before talking about colours, pages or design, I asked Daljit one question: after everything is finished, will I actually have control of my website? I had become very careful about this because business owners sometimes only realise later that they do not understand their domain, hosting or administration access. The way Daljit Singh handled this gave me confidence to continue with Khalsa Website Designers. He understood why ownership and access mattered to me. The handover was not treated like some secret technical process. I wanted to know how my website is managed and I wanted proper access instead of feeling that I would be trapped with one developer forever. That transparency is something I respect. For quite some time we had a website, but having a website and being found by local customers are two different things. That was something I understood properly only after speaking with Daljit Singh. Our issue was local visibility. Daljit ji looked at the website together with the local search side instead of treating them as completely separate things. My problem was simple to explain: customers should not need a university degree to place an order online. 😄 Our ecommerce website needed a much cleaner buying experience. Daljit phaji looked at it from the customer's side instead of only the shop owner's side. Product information, navigation, cart and checkout all need to connect properly otherwise people can leave halfway. What I liked about Khalsa Website Designers was the practical thinking behind the ecommerce work. Daljit was asking questions about how customers actually purchase, what information they need before ordering and what can create unnecessary confusion. He also explained the WooCommerce management side so that the website was not something completely dependent on the developer afterwards. For Punjabi businesses selling online to customers overseas, especially when many customers are shopping through phone, this practical approach matters a lot. I had reached the stage where I was avoiding making changes to my own website because every small update felt like a technical job. Even changing normal content was becoming a headache. That was the main problem I explained to Daljit Singh when I contacted Khalsa Website Designers. I was not asking only for a better-looking website. I wanted something which I could actually understand after the developer finished the work. Daljit ji reorganised the website in a much more sensible way and, more importantly for me, explained how the important parts are managed. The difference was that he thought about the person who would be using the website after launch, not only about how the website looks on launch day. Our project was not something that could be solved with only Home, About and Contact pages. We needed [client describe the real custom feature]. I spoke with different people before the project and the difficulty was finding somebody who understood the business requirement instead of trying to force us into whatever feature their existing template already had. With Daljit Singh ji, we could explain what needed to happen from the user's side and what we needed behind the scenes. From there the functionality was worked around the process. There were obviously more discussions and testing than with a basic website because custom work has more moving parts. I actually appreciated that. Better to test properly than discover problems after customers start using it. The final feature now helps us [client insert the real operational benefit]. One thing I asked for was a website that people could actually use comfortably, not only something that looks impressive in screenshots. Khalsa Website Designers paid attention to readability, navigation and how information works on different screen sizes. For our audience, simple menus, understandable buttons, readable text and properly organised page sections are important. We also discussed [client confirm actual accessibility work: keyboard navigation / image alt text / colour contrast / form labels / heading structure / other]. I liked this approach because accessibility improvements often make the website easier for everybody, including older customers and people using a mobile phone. Daljit ji did not try to make every section unnecessarily complicated just to show off design skills. The information remained the priority. After my experience with a previous website developer, I was honestly very careful about trusting another person with the project. The earlier developer would disappear for days, sometimes weeks, and getting even a small change done became a headache. So when somebody recommended Daljit veer ji, my biggest question wasn't about design — it was whether he would actually communicate properly. Thankfully, that problem finished right there. Daljit kept in touch, answered questions and explained what was happening with the website. Even when something needed discussion, I knew who I was dealing with and could speak directly with him.
